Dear Folks:
Well here I am in Germany. We crossed the border yesterday from French Lorraine. Lorraine has been held by Germany since the War of 1870 but will be given back to France now.
We are having a fine time now - with not a thing to do all day but chase around and show at night. It is just like a vacation.
We are nicely billeted in an apartment house that has steam heat, running water and everything one's heart would desire.
I am here at the "Y" reading room now but will have to leave soon as we eat at four forty-five and then load into a truck and drive a few kilometers and put on our show.
Am going to try and find a place to get pictures developed and then will have some pictures for you. It is impossible to get film even here at Esch and it is the largest town in Luxembourg - almost fifty thousand and a cleaner place you have never seen. We will work out of here for quite a while now as we have thirty-two towns to make and we will live right here in Esch. I think we go to Coblenz, Germany when we leave here and then over into Belgium. But of course we may be called in at any time if our Division moves.
Am feeling fine and getting along fine.
We are having a great success with our show - have a crowded house everywhere we play. We are playing here again next week and we will have a full house again. It is fun too.
Our mail is a little slow in reaching us but perhaps it will get to us soon. Our Lieutenant is going to Toul this afternoon and perhaps he can get it there.
Will write again tomorrow.
Grant
